    Meet The Founder

    YU-CHEN SHIH

    Yu-Chen Shih was tired of feeling overlooked by the beauty industry and having to settle for products that were not made with Asian skin needs in mind. So she launched her own brand in 2019. Shih treated the launch as a marketing project, given that she had zero experience in the beauty industry. Shih worked with an Ivy League-trained dermatologist with a special interest in treating Asian skin in order to formulate products that did more than just conceal.

    “I remember watching the first few reviews of our Come Closer foundation trickle in when we first launched in early 2019,” recalls Shih. “I was nervous to say the least. I feared that it was a big mistake for me to create a brand specifically for Asian skin and my product wouldn't be well received.” But as Shih read each review, she noticed a common theme: many customers had given up on foundation until they tried her range. “They finally found one that matched their undertones perfectly! This was the moment I knew that I was headed in the right direction with my brand.”
