JACKIE ZAFFARANO
Jackie Zaffarano wanted to create her own destiny when it came to her career. “I was tired of the frustrations that came from the cards being in other people’s hands when it came to where I would work, for who, and how that environment would be.” So she decided to give the entrepreneurial thing a try. Plus, Zaffarano also had a vision of a leggings brand that finally addressed visible panty lines.
“One of our goals in creating all of our Smooth Duo Leggings and Bike Shorts was to have the perfect combination of underwear and leggings always ready for you to grab and wear without any of the hassle of searching for the right pair of underwear that is not only comfortable but also doesn't show lines.” And, because the two layers are attached, everything stays where it’s supposed to. Plus, everything is made in New York City’s garment district, by a woman-owned factory.
“I'm proudest of being able to unlearn a lot of things that had been ingrained in me over the years while living and working in NYC. I've collected experiences both great and tough, and learning to let go of the "shoulds" and the old habits allowed me to evolve into a better entrepreneur,” says Zaffarano.
