MALU is the final step in your daily Honua Facial Ritual to keep your skin protected from the sun as well as daily environmental pollutants. MALU marries modern natural protectants with traditional Hawaiian ones and contains all reef-safe ingredients keeping our oceans in mind. Scents of jasmine merge with antioxidant noni and nourishing laukahi for a creamy, luxurious day cream that does not leave a white cast.  We use non-nano zinc oxide, which is broad spectrum.

Dispense 1-2 pumps onto clean, hydrated skin.  For drier skin, we love using our 'Ōlena Oil then allow it to sink into skin before applying Malu.  For more oily skin, you can apply Malu directly after the Aloha Youth Serum for maximum moisture and protection.  
Every Honua product arrives in luxury glass bottles and jars that are completely recyclable or reusable.  Our outer cartons are made from recyclable kraftpaper.  Some of our Malu bottles come with pink tops, which support Breast Cancer Prevention Partners!

Meet The Founder

KAPUA BROWNING

Kapua Browning spent years as an esthetician with her own apothecary spa, where she would treat clients with Hawaiian herbs and plants. “After clients saw such huge success with their skin, the demand grew beyond my treatment room, and I eventually decided to create a skincare line to share with the world,” she says.

Honua, the brand, was born in 2015, and Browning splits her time between Honolulu and Santa Rosa, California. Beyond her transformative products, Browning is proud to uphold and sustain Hawaiian farming practices. “We had a big impact by helping to reforest Hawaiian plants and trees, supporting Hawaiian farms and communities and by donating money to help pay for young intern farmers. We are showing young farmers that it is a very important career!”
