A citrusy scent that smells like a rainy coastline, this LOHN candle (like the rest of their products) is hand-poured in their Toronto studio, and are made with layered scents, sustainable coconut and soy wax, and food-grade vessels.

KATERINA & VICTORIA
Katerina Juskey and Victoria Mierzwa started their brand out of a shared love for product development and an obsession with scent. The duos combined work experience included companies like Byredo, Le Labo, Nest Fragrances and Estée Lauder. When it came to starting their own boutique candle line, Juskey and Mierzwa drew inspiration from their Eastern European heritages to create scents inspired by journeys.
The pair spent two years developing their products, working on LOHN (which means scent in Estonian) after hours. “In 2018 we launched four candles with scents inspired by the amber road, including our best-sellers ERDE and JURA. We took two years to develop our first four scents and our candle formulas. We experimented with different waxes, wicks, percentages, and vessels until we got the right combination,” Juskey explains. “For the first two years, we made all of our candles. Now we have an excellent team of makers that hand-pour everything in our 2,000-square-foot studio outside of Toronto.”
