Doing This One Thing Could Be A Game Changer In 2018

Last Wednesday, we challenged you to give yourself a boost by serving some sweet monochromatic power color looks. And lo and behold, you guys came through with some intellectual blues, bold pinks, and sophisticated greys. Check ‘em out below, along with some Girlboss staff rocking that one-color vibe.

As for this week, we’re setting you up with a challenge to take a look at what constitutes your most authentic self. What if you explored that concept and gave yourself a boost of confidence in the meantime by switching up the same ol’ same ol’ with your hair? This could mean doing your hair in a totally different way, or even cutting it, if you’re game!

According toPsychology Today, “good hair days” lift us up for a variety of reasons. Self-esteem, aesthetics, and developmental psych all come into play when you switch up your hairdo.

So, if you’re feeling extra bold, maybe this is your sign to go for those bangs you’ve been low-key dreaming of the last few months. And if you need some inspo before reaching for those shears, check out the Girlboss #whatifwednesday Pinterest board to find some inspo via the cutest ‘dos out there.

And obviously, we’re going to want to see those newly luscious locks. Share photos of your braids, pixie cuts, and bold colors on social media with the hashtags #whatifwednesday, #mypinterest and #girlbossradio. If you go for it and switch up your style, check back in this spot next week to see if we’ve shared your new look.

And that’s not the only thing: We’re also giving away three signed copies of The Girlboss Workbook each week to participants. And you could win a free ticket to the next Girlboss Rally in LA in April 2018*

And while you’re deciding whether you want a new style, cut or extensions, or to go blonde or brunette, catch some lessons in boldness with these monochromatic looks that play on last week’s #whatifwednesday challenge of finding your power color.
